LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS INCREDIBLE PANEL Nerissa Balland Nerissa Balland is a certified life coach, an artist, a 2x cancer survivor, and a mother. She helps adults and children bounce-back from physical and emotional adversity. Nerissa has combined her love and knowledge of creativity, therapeutic art, coaching, and neuroscience to reduce health issues caused by STRESS. Extensively trained at Pratt Institute, Nerissa received a Master of Fine Arts in painting and holds numerous certifications and graduate coursework in Arts-In-Medicine, Therapeutic Arts, Neurolinguistics, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. She facilitates both virtual and on-site workshops for University of Miami Hillel, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Michael-Ann Russell JCC, Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, Suzy Fischer Early Childhood Academy and Miami-Dade Public School District 3. Her unique combination of therapeutic arts and neurolinguistics coaching aims to serve diverse ethnic, social, economic, and generational groups. Joel Chasnoff Joel is a former IDF combat soldier and author of the comedic memoir The 188th Crybaby Brigade, about his service in the Israeli Army. A Chicago native, Joel has performed on stage and screen in nine countries, including two off-Broadway shows, a USO comedy tour of Japan and Korea, more than 1,000 Jewish events in North America and Europe, and Israeli late-night TV.A graduate of I.O. (formerly Improv Olympic) in Chicago and UCB and The PIT in New York, Joel performs improv and teaches his Improv Comedy 101 Workshop to adults and teens.
